Kiefer began to get into film by chance, as he was deciding what he should do in college. Having a musical background he thought to go for a sound engineering course but saw the film course on offer at Bray Institute of Further Education and decided to give it a shot. He immediately took to the art and quickly became a natural. He learnt fast and the standard of work he produced was impressive.
Being called too ambitious by many, he continued to produce work to a high standard, with his directorial debut 'Marcus Ryan' receiving an Official Selection in the 5th Underground Cinema Film Festival and a later short film, 'A Mind Within', receiving a Special Mention at the March On Film competition.
Kiefer is currently working on his biggest film to date, Ruin. Of which you can follow the progress of in the Blog section.
